antique wooden table in front of weathered wall

In 1904, at the St. Louis World’s Fair, an ice cream vendor ran out of dishes. Earnest Hamwi came to the rescue when he took one of his waffles and rolled it into a cone. The “Waffle Cone” was an instant success with the crowd as it afforded them the ability to move around and eat with one hand rather then with a dish and spoon. Not to mention the waffle cones add a wonderful flavor and texture to the ice cream inside them. We make ours fresh every day – it’s actually a pretty fun process!
